I (Angel Paluskas MS LPC NCC) have a Master of Science in Counseling from a CACREP accredited school earned in 2017 at Capella University. I am a fully Licensed Practicing Counselor (LPC), license number 6401019101. I am also a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors, certificate number 1378303. Due to my NCC, I regularly participate in continued education courses to ensure I am using evidence-based techniques.

I am trained in EMDR therapy and working towards my full certification hours.  Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, commonly known as EMDR, is a mental health therapy method. EMDR treats mental health conditions that happen because of memories from traumatic events in your past. It’s best known for its role in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but its use is expanding to include treatment of many other conditions. Anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, and many other concerns can be resolved by using this method.

 

I also work with clients on creating boundaries, coping skills, time management, and self-care. Other techniques I use with clients is mindfulness training, cognitive behavior therapy, and solution focused therapy.

 

I provide in-person therapy and online counseling in order to best meet your needs!

 

I am also taking new limited licensed counselors and will have spaces for interns.
